What working with us actually looks like.
It is reasonable to want to know what you are starting before you start it — including the parts that depend on other people and the parts nobody controls. This is the whole shape of it.
One case, however many services
Everything we do for you lives in a single case rather than a thread of emails. If you are travelling as a family, every traveller is an applicant record inside that case with their own documents and their own status — because that is how the applications are actually assessed.
If your situation involves several services — a Portuguese residency route plus the tax number, banking and registrations around it — those relate to each other rather than existing as separate transactions. The sequence matters, and keeping them together is what lets us get the order right.
Enquiry, service, payment, case
These four words mean different things here, and we try to use them precisely. An enquiry is a question. It is free, it commits you to nothing, and it does not start any work. Most people who contact us never go past this stage, and that is a perfectly good outcome.
A service is the specific piece of work we agree to do, with its scope written down and invoiced. Payment settles that invoice. Only then does a case exist — the live piece of work, with a team, a document plan and portal access behind it.
The practical consequence: if you have sent us an enquiry, your case has not started. We will say "we have your enquiry", not "your case is open", because the second one would be untrue and would leave you waiting on work nobody had begun.
Work with an advisor, or start it yourself.
Both routes end in the same place: a paid, activated case with a team on it. They differ in how much of the early work you do yourself.
Work with an advisor
The route everyone uses today. You talk to a person before committing to anything, which is usually the right call when the answer depends on your nationality and circumstances.
- 1Send an enquiry — free, and commits you to nothing
- 2Consultation: we establish which route actually applies to you
- 3We confirm the scope of the service and invoice it
- 4You pay for the service
- 5Your case is activated and goes to the processing team
- 6Applicants, documents, preparation and submission
Start through your account
A self-service route where you choose the service, create an account and complete the order yourself, without waiting for a consultation first.
- 1Choose the service you need
- 2Create or sign in to your Vizabolt account
- 3Provide the information the service requires
- 4Review the commercial details and pay
- 5Your case is activated and goes to the processing team
- 6Applicants, documents, preparation and submission
Not available yet. Online ordering and payment are still being built, so there is no checkout on this site today. Every application currently starts with an enquiry or a consultation — use "Start your application" and we will take it from there.
From first message to completed case.
A straightforward case moves through these in order. Cases with complications loop back, which is normal rather than a sign something has gone wrong.
You get in touch
An enquiry tells us what you are considering and how to reach you. It is not an application and commits you to nothing.

Consultation
VizaboltWe talk through your circumstances and establish which pathway fits. Sometimes the honest answer is that the route you had in mind is not the right one, or the timing does not work — we would rather say that early.
The service is agreed and invoiced
VizaboltWe confirm exactly what we would do for you and send an invoice for it. Nothing has begun yet — this is the point where you decide whether to go ahead, with the scope in front of you.
You pay for the service
YouPayment comes before processing, always. Until it is confirmed you have an enquiry with us rather than a case, and we would rather be plain about that than let you believe work has started when it has not.
Your case is activated
VizaboltOnce payment is confirmed the case is created, it becomes the single place the work lives, and it goes to the team who will process it. Portal access is set up at this point — an enquiry on its own does not create an account or a case.
Applicants are added
YouEvery person on the case gets their own profile. A family of four is four applicants, each assessed on their own passport and circumstances.
You receive a document plan
VizaboltA checklist built around your actual case rather than a generic list — per applicant, reflecting your route, nationality and circumstances.
You upload your documents
YouYour documents go into the case through the client portal, against the plan, so everything sits in one place rather than scattered across email threads. You can see what is still outstanding at any point.
Review and corrections
VizaboltWe check for completeness, legibility, currency and consistency. Expect at least one round of corrections; this is most of the value.
Preparation and submission
YouWe help prepare the application, and you review and confirm everything before it goes. Where a route requires you to submit your own application or attend your own appointment, we say so up front.
With the authority
AuthorityProcessing, any request for further evidence, and the decision are entirely theirs. We tell you when something moves and turn any request around with you quickly.
Outcome
AuthorityYou hear the result from a person, not from a status change. For a Portugal case the decision is usually the midpoint — the registrations after arrival are part of the same case.
The client portal
Clients get secure access to a portal where the case lives. You can upload your documents against the plan we send you, see what is still outstanding, and follow where the case currently stands — without waiting on an email reply.
Access is set up once your case is active. We deliberately describe only what is live today rather than what is being built — if a capability is not mentioned here, treat it as not yet available.
The split that makes a slow week understandable instead of worrying.
What Vizabolt does
- Case coordination from first conversation to outcome
- Document organisation and review
- Application preparation support
- Workflow guidance and sequencing across services
- Telling you plainly when something is not going to work
What you provide
- Accurate and complete information
- The documents we request, in a usable condition
- Attendance at your own appointments and interviews
- Prompt responses when a case is waiting on you
- Early notice when your circumstances or plans change
What the authority controls
- What the route requires, and any change to it
- Appointment availability
- Whether a submission is accepted
- Processing, and how long it takes
- The decision
We do not influence any of these and will never suggest otherwise. Establishing that before a decision is what makes an unwelcome one survivable.
